Answer :
This depends on the ROTOR version.
ROTOR HDA
The ROTOR touch-screen computer and even the older ROTOR's with laptop shelves, can be fitted to either end of the ROTOR.
It requires swapping the fastening plates from one end to the other. For those with a touch-screen the arm pivot plate is swapped with the Beer Bottle Opener Plate.
Note: When swapping plates from one end to the other both plates must be reattached at their opposite end. eg. Arm Pivot Plate replaces the Beer Bottle Opener Plate; Beer Bottle Opener Plate replaces the Arm Pivot Plate.
With the touch-screen computer, the power supply cable and USB cable can restrict the movement of the mounting arm but this can be overcome with longer cables. The USB Cables have standard USB connections (type A one end and Type B the other). Longer ones are not available through Singer Instruments.
ROTOR+ (2021 to 2024)
Singer Instruments do not recommend moving the touch-screen to the opposite end of the ROTOR+.
It is not as easy to move the touch-screen Computer to the other end of the ROTOR+ due to the length of the USB connection and there are concerns that there may be interference with the signal that could cause problems.
ROTOR+ (2024 to present day)
Singer Instruments do not recommend moving the touch-screen to the opposite end of the ROTOR+.
It is not as easy to move the touch-screen Computer to the other end of the ROTOR+ due to the length of the ethernet cable connection and there are concerns that there may be interference with the signal that could cause problems.
