Is it okay to image Filamentous Fungi in the PhenoBooth?

Answer: Yes, filamentous fungi can be used in the PhenoBooth. The only problem with using fungi in the PhenoBooth is that it will be very difficult to sterilise or clean the insides of the PhenoBooth after use. 

We would recommend that if you do need to image fungi in the PhenoBooth you seal the top of the plate with cling film. This will still allow the light to pass through as long as the cling film is stretched tight. You can see the differences in the example images below tested on a random plate in the lab.
