Introduction
The Stinger will have been supplied with a data key containing the parameter settings. This should be kept safe as it can be used to restore the parameters.
If the parameter file for the Stinger has become corrupted or lost it is advised to reload the parameter file using the 'Install additional Hardware' option in the Information window.
See this article: How to add new Hardware using the ROTOR Software (Video)
If the data key has been lost then the following instructions explain how to reload them by loading the parameter file manually.
Note: This method requires accessing the Engineering menu in the software. Please do not make any changes in the Engineering Menu without instruction from a Singer Instruments Engineer.
Tools/ Preparation Required
- Data Key (USB Key) containing the file
- USB keyboard (touch screen can be used for this method)
Procedure
This procedure is based on a ROTOR produced before July 2021. The procedure is very similar for ROTOR+ but the software will look different.
Note: To identify the difference between ROTOR (pre- July 2021) and ROTOR+ please see this article : What model of ROTOR do I have - ROTOR / ROTOR+?
The video below demonstrates how to load the XML file containing the Stinger Parameters.
If the file is no longer available or it is not already stored on the hard drive of the computer please contact technicalsupport@singerinstruments.com who will be able to supply the correct file.
If you require more information please contact technicalsupport@singerinstruments.com for assistance.
