Answer : Most widely available Antivirus products will work with Singer instruments, however, there may be certain exceptions that need to be added in order for our products to work correctly:
File Exceptions
For any Singer product that uses a Windows PC the following directory should be added to the Antivirus exceptions:
- C:\Program Files\Singer Instrument Company Limited\PIXL
If the antivirus still interferes then the following executable specific exceptions should be added for each product:
PIXL
- C:\Program Files\Singer Instrument Company Limited\PIXL\Software.Products.PIXL.WindowsUI.exe
- C:\Program Files\Singer Instrument Company Limited\PIXL\Software.Products.PIXL.EngineeringWindowsUI.exe

PIXL
PIXL hardware communicates over Modbus TCP/IP which is port 502
The PIXL API uses gRPC over port 50052
Phenobooth
PhenoBooth uses MongoDB which communicates over port 27017
