Answer : The PhenoBooth struggles with multiwell plates. It is not designed for this sort of imaging. The reason is the perspective issue on the plate, the distance of the camera makes them look like a bulging accordion.
If it is only required for imaging and not colony detection (and the user owns a PIXL), the imaging mode on the PIXL might give the required results. The greater distance should lead to less distortion. The wells will completely throw the PIXL off as far as colony detection is concerned though, so it is not recommended for that.
