Introduction
The manufacturer of the UV Tubes fitted to the ROTOR(+) recommend replacement every 12 months or 100 hours whichever comes first. The UV will conitinue to work past this time but the effectiveness of the UV will start to depreciate.
Singer Instruments no longer keep replacement tubes and suggest the customers purchase these from an external or local supplier. More details on the UV Tube can be found here : Where to purchase a replacement UV Tube for the ROTOR(+)
Once you have a replacement tube the following procedure explains how to remove/ replace it.
Note: The replacement method is the same on older ROTOR's as well as the newer ROTOR+.
Note: To identify the difference between ROTOR (pre- July 2021) and ROTOR+ please see this article : What model of ROTOR do I have - ROTOR / ROTOR+?
WARNING: Wear the provided cotton gloves when handling the UV lights. Finger prints will reduce the life of the UV bulb.
