What operating system is used on the touchscreen computers?

MCI's (Machine Control Interface's) also known as TouchScreen computers, supplied on MSM's and ROTOR(+)'s use a Windows operating system. 

August 2016 to present

Windows 10 IOT Enterprise LTSC 2021, which is not upgradable as it would require a fresh install.
However, Microsoft will officially support this version of Windows 10 until 2032.

August 2015 to August 2016

Windows 7 Operating System. We are happy for IT departments to update these MCI's to Windows 10 if required. Please email Technical Support if you would like to replace your software after the update.

Prior to August 2015

 it is likely that your MCI is loaded with Windows Embedded Standard 2009. (Not XP Embedded). Windows Embedded Standard 2009 is an updated version of XPe.
