How to replace the halogen lamp on an MSM 300/ 400

Older MSM 300/400 models used halogen bulbs, now discontinued. Users can upgrade to LED units for better brightness. To replace the bulb, turn off power, remove two thumb screws to lower the light unit, pull out the old bulb, insert the new one, and refit the unit with screws finger-tight. Introduction

Older MSM 300/ 400's were fitted with a Halogen Bulb. We no longer stock these but the details are here  Do you stock the Halogen Lamp replacements? Another option is to upgrade to an LED unit - How do I improve the brightness of my MSM 300/ 400 lamp?

Instructions for replacement are below.

Procedure

• Turn off the mains power to the MSM
• Locate the light unit underneath the MSM as shown in the image below. The image shows an LED unit but fitting/ removal is the same.

• You will notice two thumb screws holding this unit in place. Remove both screws and the unit will drop down.
• Remove the old halogen bulb by pulling it straight out.
• Replace with the new bulb and refit the unit with the thumbscrews. Do up the screws finger tight.
