How to use Colony Selection on the PIXL

Answer : Colony Selection on the PIXL has been improved to make selecting colonies much easier. The latest software update ( PIXL Software - Update) must be installed. 

Improvements :

• Zoom in on colonies
• Pan around the plate to see a particular zoomed-in area
• Filters are improved to see which ones are being used
• Add more than one range to a filter
• Type in a filter range (slider also available)
• Colour differences show picked and unpicked
  • Red shows filtered colony. 
    • Bright red = picked
    • Faded red = not picked
  • Blue shows an unfiltered colony
    • Bright Blue = Picked
    • Faded Blue = not picked
• Manually select colony tools include 'select by area'
• Add an undetected colony
