Is it possible to stop natural light interfering with the fluorescence imaging in the PIXL?

Answer : The PIXL is supplied with a blackout screen to stop natural light interfering with the fluorescence imaging.

Note: This does not apply to PIXL's fitted with a light curtain used with integrations and Robot Arms

Natural light passing through the PIXL door can interfere with some fluorescence imaging when using certain LED wavelengths. In these circumstances, the blackout screen can be inserted to prevent light interference. To install the blackout screen, simply slide it into the grooves on the inside of the main door. Make sure the handle slot aligns with the door handle, as shown in Figure 6.

Note : Once the image has been taken the screen can be removed at the point where the target plates are loaded to be able to see the pinning routine in action.
