Singer Instruments prefer to update software via a remote connection. This means that they are able to make sure that the software has updated correctly, demonstrate any new features and also give a quick health check of the ROTOR.
It is not always possible for the customer to have a remote session. Some IT department administrators refuse remote access due to security concerns. The system Singer Instruments uses is secure to a high industry standard but we understand that this is sometimes not enough.
